Blog 11: Introducing the Food Truck Avenue Ghost Kitchen

We’re bringing our food past the trucks.

We here at Food Truck Avenue are always excited about the next big thing, which is why we are happy to announce that we’re launching a ghost kitchen. The kitchen will be open as of January 27, 2023. We are looking forward to this new concept, and to continually growing our business. Read on for everything you need to know!

It is very important to us to provide services for everyone in our community. Since some parties do not have the budget for food truck services, we thought this would be a great way to cater to a wider stretch of people. We hate to turn guests down, so this felt like the perfect project.

The kitchen will serve up the menus from all of our food trucks, and our ingredients come from local suppliers in the Denver metro area. Luckily, we don’t have to spend time figuring out our menu, because we already have had great success with our food trucks over the past seven years. In particular, we think this will be a shining moment for our Mac ‘N Cheese concept. Who doesn’t love comfort food? 

While this move may seem like a deviation from our food truck, we feel even more prepared to take on the ghost kitchen, thanks to our experience. “It has shown us how to do a lot with a little,” our owner David Sevcik said. And don’t worry, our food trucks aren’t going anywhere. At the moment, our food truck employees are working hard on both our trucks and the ghost kitchen. We look forward to finding additional staff as soon as we can. 

“We live in a world where people want items delivered to their door yesterday,” Sevcik said. He’s right. These days, we all love the convenience of delivery, and we are happy to help advance with the world and keep up with trends by offering that option to customers. This will be especially appealing during these cold winter months.

The kitchen is located at 2171 S. Grape St., Denver, CO. It will operate from 11 am-10 pm on Sunday-Saturday however, we may adjust our hours depending on what the demand looks like. As far as pricing goes, we will stick with the same prices as our truck, with a small delivery fee. Orders of $80 or more will have no delivery charge. We are partnering with GrubHub, DoorDash, and UberEats to bring our food to your door!
