Zo’s love of barbecue began at a young age, as the vibrant culinary traditions of Texas influenced him. Eventually, his family moved to California. There, his passion for cooking flourished, leading him to earn a culinary degree and start his very own catering company, where he specialized in banquet-style and buffet catering. Ultimately, the allure of the Texas outdoors and his passion for BBQ beckoned Zo to return to his home state. In 2020, however, Zo and his family relocated to our beautiful state of Colorado, bringing a piece of Texas. It was here that he founded Smokin’ Zo’s.
Zo honed in on his passion for this beloved cuisine with a commitment to serving high-quality slow-smoked meats, tasty homemade BBQ sauce, and his own distinctive spice blends, establishing Smokin’ Zo’s as a beacon of excellence. He is thrilled by the support he’s received so far on his food truck journey! Zo’s mission is to pour his heart into every dish and share the nourishment and joy that cooking brings him with you and your loved ones. It’s this kind of passion that comes through in a great meal.
