Under HB 1625 (effective July 1, 2017), Virginia has health and fire reciprocity — a food-truck health permit or fire inspection issued by any Virginia jurisdiction is accepted statewide.

In Charlottesville, health is overseen by Virginia Department of Health and fire by Charlottesville's fire authority — the local authorities whose permits and inspections Virginia recognizes statewide.
