Under HB 2844 (effective July 1, 2026), Texas has health and fire reciprocity — a food-truck health permit or fire inspection issued by any Texas jurisdiction is accepted statewide.

In Temple, health is overseen by Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and fire by Temple's fire authority — the local authorities whose permits and inspections Texas recognizes statewide.

If your event requires permitting, you'll work directly with Temple.
